Welcome to Melrose Books

Melrose Books is a well established and highly regarded independent publishing company based in the historic cathedral city of Ely just outside Cambridge. We have been publishing books for over 10 years and are always looking to take on new authors whether they are recognised or unknown. Our partnership packages are popular because, unlike self publishing, a full service is provided including marketing support and distribution and whilst the author contributes to the costs of publishing their book they retain creative control and a high level of involvement. Partnership publishing typically offers authors a much higher royalty rate (65%) whereas mainstream publishing offers between 7.5 to 15%. There are no hidden costs and our dedicated in-house team is always available for advice and back-up. Authors come to us by recommendation and through our reputation with many authors returning with further titles for publication. We are committed to publishing quality books which includes all genres from novels to captivate the reader to memoirs which give a fascinating insight into enthralling lives.

Conserving our planet is also very important to us and we operate an ethical environmental policy. Our books are printed on paper from sustainably managed forests and we regularly monitor our recycling practices.
